Ser Winery kicks the party off with the 2017 Wirz Riesling, daintily dry yet spicy. Crab and oysters would be good friends with 2019 Vermentino from Cedar Lane, and the 2014 Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot from the Lilo and Coastview vineyards, is subtle, elegant and well-mannered enough to work with veal scallopine or oyster mushroom risotto. The 2017 Tondre Grapefields Pinot Noir is what you want when you’re serving ham or duck, or perhaps chicken tamales.
